Can you keep your worm bin indoors?

YES! I keep mine under my bed. Under the sink in the kitchen is another favorite. Really, they don't smell bad. If you keep them indoors, you don't have to worry about temperature extremes. I only had problems with worms escaping for the first few weeks, and then only in to the bin that collected the leachate below my main bin. I had about 2-4 a day. Most people relate that their worms settle down after 4-6 weeks and stop trying to leave. During that time I had my bin on a work table so I could monitor what was going on.
