How to keep the worms from escaping?

In a previous bin I had problems with worms escaping. I discovered keeping the conditions in the bin ideal (plenty of food, proper moisture, etc.)helped a great deal. When I created my new bin I drilled larger holes but less of them. I then used a hot glue gun to attach some reused old window screen. I have had no escapees this time.
