Doesn't vermicomposting smell?

If it's done correctly it doesn't smell at all, I removed and buried all the extra food and now the wormies keep it nice and tidy. The most common mistake I've seen on the different forums is newbs over feeding. Don't worry, they can survive on just bedding while they're getting used to the new digs.
