How to contribute

Generally speaking there are 3 ways to contribute to WormWiki.

  1. Contribute to the vermicomposters.com-community-written Online Guide to to Vermicomposting - This is meant to be a vermicomposting guide that we all work on together.. each one pitching in a little bit of time.. not as much glory as getting credit for writing something all by oneself.. but hopefully we produce something that is useful for newbies and seasoned vermicomposters alike. Please try to limit off site linking in this section so that we can create a new resource rather than a collection of links to other websites (see #3 for directory of offline/online resources)
  2. Write/host an article on Worm Wiki add it to Articles on Worm Wiki about Vermicomposting. Here you can show off your projects or experiments or one page quick starts... or how-tos or discoveries by writting an article and getting it included here. Be sure to sign it with a by-line and add a link from your user page so people can see all the articles you've written.
  3. Submit a link to a resource about vermicomposting in the Other resources about vermicomposting This is where we can hopefully collect a comprehensive list of off WormWiki online and offline resources about vermicomposting.

Basically you're welcome to go ahead and fill in any blanks you see on this wiki.. this is a new wiki (started in August 2008) so a lot needs to be done to fill it out... add new pages, etc anything you see that needs doing to make the guide more complete to help get more people introduced to vermicomposting. The idea is that if each of us writes a page or two it will all come together. Note please add photos if you can since they make the site so much more interesting see How to make a worm bin bag for examples on how to include images also the Help section also has some documentation on images.

To-dos

Sometimes though folks want to help out but just don't know where to get started. This is a community todo list, a way for folks to get ideas for what needs to be done and also be sure to add to this list to help inspire others.

To cross one off as done [1] wrap the line in s tags and [2] include your signature,i.e. 2 minus signs and 4 tilde's automatically expands into your userid and date:

* <s>todo list item</s> (DONE --~~~~)
